Frisbee Rush

Discovered this game yesterday while researching toys, devices and applications that can be controlled via android.. after sifting through the usual parrotDrone type things and rc cars and robots.. pc remote control apps.. i found this amazing game!

The game runs in your browser using the Unity3D engine. The graphics are on par with Wii games. Your android or ios device becomes the controller via an app.

Note: on android its an Adobe Air app, so will need Adobe Air to be installed.. hence the entry level android devices that don't support adobe air will not work here.

When you start the app it gives you a simple code that you input into the desktop browser game, so that it can "pair" the devices.. this works over wifi(Ideal) as well as GPRS(GPRS worked better than i thought it would)..

There are two ways to control the game..
1) flick the device.. not too accurate with my device.. may be better with yours
2) swipe across the screen to launch frisbees and tilt up or down to adjust pitch.. yaw does not seem to work.. but you can swipe diagonally to control that anyway.

The gameplay is actually a lot more sophisticated than i thought at first. Apart from shooting frisbies to kill aliens, you can also shoot down projectiles that they hurl at you!(once you've had some practice).. Also there are certain objects in the level, hitting them can make it tougher or easier for you.. eg: hitting one of the Ferris wheels will slow down time! Hitting certain other objects will release more aliens.

My Testing Parameters
I tested this on my friend's Samsung Galaxy S as well as my Motorola Defy+. Both performed well. I even tested it over Wifi and GPRS.. no complaints, although it goes without saying that there may be noticeable lag over anything other than Wifi.

Give it a shot!
